About UKIM Masjid Ibrahim & Islamic Centre (Plaistow)
Masjid Ibrahim & Islamic Centre on Barking Road in Plaistow is a branch of the UK Islamic Mission (UKIM). UKIM was founded in October 1962 by a small study circle that met at the East London Mosque, and it now runs around thirty mosques and madrasahs across the UK.
The mosque says more than 1,200 men and women attend its weekly Jummah, that its congregation includes more than 62 nationalities, and that 60% of its community is under 34. It also runs a madrasah, a food bank, free funeral services and nikah services.
