About Palmers Green Mosque (MCEC)
The Muslim Community and Education Centre (MCEC) spent six years fundraising and planning before building work began in early 2001. The steel frame went up that summer, the ground floor was finished in 2002 and the roofline, with its dome, was reached in 2003. The first phase opened for daily prayers in 2004.
The centre is now a charitable incorporated organisation. It offers the five daily prayers, Islamic education, weddings, funerals, venue hire and guided tours.
