About Leyton Jamia Masjid (Muslim Community Trust)
The Muslim Community Trust set up Leyton Jamia Masjid in 1998 to serve the growing local Muslim community. The mosque started on the ground floor of a former Midland Bank building on High Road Leyton and now uses the whole building for daily prayers, weekly religious programmes and children's classes.
In May 2019 the trust reported the first public adhan in Waltham Forest. The mosque belongs to the Waltham Forest Council of Mosques.
