Our mission
UK Prayer Times (prayer-times.co.uk) is a free public service providing accurate
daily Islamic prayer times (Salah / Namaz / Salat) for 131 cities across the United Kingdom.
It is independent and not affiliated with any mosque, sect or organisation — just accurate,
neutral times for everyone.
Calculation method
For London and the surrounding M25 area we follow the official London Unified Prayer Timetable — the timetable used by East London Mosque, London Central Mosque and most London mosques. For the rest of the UK we use the Muslim World League (MWL) method: Fajr at 18° and Isha at 17° below the horizon, a widely used astronomical calculation. You can switch method, or to Hanafi Asr, on every city page.
At the UK's northern latitudes the sun does not always reach those angles in summer, so a documented high-latitude adjustment is applied where needed. These are start (adhan) times — your local mosque sets its own iqamah (congregation) times, which are typically a little later.

We currently provide prayer times for 131 UK cities including London, Birmingham, Manchester, Leeds, Bradford, Sheffield, Glasgow, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Belfast and many more — covering England, Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland.
Free tools, transparent funding
Prayer tools are free to use, without an account. Paid charity and service placements are clearly labelled. Hosting and the daily rebuild are covered by voluntary reader contributions and a small, labelled partner programme. Money never buys a listing, a method or a mosque’s rank — see Support this site.
Who edits UK Prayer Times
UK Prayer Times is edited by Kaiser Khan, who maintains the prayer-time data and calculation settings, reviews mosque listings and handles corrections under our editorial policy.
