About Manchester Central Mosque (Victoria Park)
Manchester Central Mosque in Victoria Park is one of the oldest and most established mosques in Greater Manchester, serving the Muslim community of Rusholme, Fallowfield and the surrounding South Manchester area since 1971. The Victoria Park area has been home to a significant Muslim population for decades, with the mosque providing a focal point for community life alongside the mosque-rich Wilmslow Road corridor.
The mosque provides the five daily prayers, multiple Friday Jumu'ah congregations, large Eid gatherings and taraweeh throughout Ramadan. It serves a diverse congregation of South Asian, Arab and convert Muslims and runs an Islamic education programme, madrasah and youth activities. Manchester Central Mosque is affiliated with the Muslim Council of Britain and maintains strong links with other Islamic institutions across Greater Manchester.
