About Al-Furqan Mosque
Al-Furqan was established by the Glasgow branch of UK Islamic Mission, which was founded in 1974 to serve Glasgow's Muslim community. The mosque was set up in 1984, initially also serving as the branch's administrative office, and Wikipedia records the building as completed in 1992.
It is described as Glasgow's second purpose-built mosque. The mosque says it does not affiliate with any particular sect or school of thought and welcomes Muslim and non-Muslim visitors throughout the year.
