About Karimia Institute & Jamia Mosque
The Karimia Institute and Jamia Mosque in Radford is one of Nottingham's most prominent Islamic institutions, founded in 1988. It combines a busy mosque with a thriving Islamic educational institute offering courses in Islamic studies, Arabic, counselling and community welfare.
The Karimia Institute is widely known for its educational programmes, drawing students from across the East Midlands and beyond. The mosque provides the five daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, Eid congregations and taraweeh throughout Ramadan. Its community work includes a food bank, counselling services, youth programmes and interfaith dialogue.
Karimia is known for a scholarly and intellectually engaged approach to Islamic education, addressing contemporary issues facing British Muslims alongside classical Islamic learning.
