About Islamic Centre Nottingham (Curzon Street)
Nottingham's Muslim community bought the land in 1976 to build the city's first purpose-built central mosque. Money was limited, and the first phase of the mosque was completed in March 1992.
The mosque has since expanded. It now runs a madrasah, an Alimiyyah (Islamic scholarship) programme, a funeral service and Nikah services.
