About Faizan-e-Madina Mosque (Jamia Masjid Faizan-e-Madina)
Peterborough Central Mosque (Faizan-e-Madinah) is the principal mosque serving Peterborough's Muslim community, founded in 1976. Peterborough has a significant Muslim population with roots primarily in Pakistani communities who settled in the city in the 1960s and 1970s.
The mosque provides the five daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, Eid congregations and taraweeh throughout Ramadan, and runs a madrasah and Islamic education classes for children across the area.
Located on St Paul's Road in central Peterborough, the mosque serves as a hub for the spiritual and community life of Peterborough's Muslim population, which has grown significantly in recent decades with new arrivals from across Eastern Europe, East Africa and the Middle East.
