About Jummah (Friday prayer)
Jummah (Salat al-Jumu'ah) is the congregational Friday prayer that replaces the midday Dhuhr prayer for adult Muslim men. It consists of a khutbah (sermon) delivered by the imam, followed by two rak'ahs prayed together in congregation. Attending Jummah is one of the most emphasised weekly acts of worship in Islam.
