About Al-Maktoum Mosque
The foundation stone was laid on 10 July 2012, in the presence of a senior delegation from the UAE and the UAE Embassy, under the patronage of the late Sheikh Hamdan bin Rashid Al-Maktoum. The mosque opened for worshippers in September 2013.
The building has three floors: a basement with a kitchenette and a multi-purpose hall that divides into three classrooms, a ground-floor main prayer hall, and a first-floor prayer hall for women. The mosque says its congregation includes more than 15 nationalities, many of them students.
