About Madni Jamia Masjid
Madni Mosque in Dewsbury town centre is one of the established mosques serving Dewsbury's large Muslim community, founded in 1966. Dewsbury has one of the highest concentrations of Muslims in Yorkshire, with a community rooted primarily in Pakistani South Asian backgrounds.
The mosque provides the five daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha congregations, and taraweeh throughout Ramadan. It runs a madrasah and Islamic education for children and youth in the Dewsbury area.
Dewsbury's Muslim community is centred primarily in the Saville Town and Ravensthorpe areas and Madni Mosque serves as an important spiritual hub for worshippers from across these neighbourhoods.
