About Masjid Alhikmah & Community Centre
The Alhikmah Foundation, a Scottish charity registered in 2013, raised close to £2 million to build a second major mosque for Aberdeen's growing Muslim community. Construction began in early 2015.
The building was finished in 2018 and opened shortly before Ramadan that year. Its facilities include separate prayer halls for men and women, a funeral washing area, a meeting room and a crèche. Along with Aberdeen's other mosques, it holds open days for visitors.
