Wrexham Mosque, formally the Wrexham Islamic Cultural Centre (WICC), is run by The Muslim Association of Wrexham (also known as the Wrexham Muslim Association), a charity registered with the Charity Commission for England and Wales on 25 April 1995 (charity no. 1045958). Its stated charitable purpose is "to promote and advance the Islamic religion," and it acts as an umbrella organisation and contact point for Muslims in Wrexham and the surrounding area of North Wales.

The mosque occupies the former North Wales Miners' Institute on Grosvenor Road in central Wrexham. The institute closed in 2008 following declining membership, and the Muslim Association of Wrexham purchased the building in 2010, adapting it into a mosque and cultural centre while retaining its industrial heritage. It is widely described as the principal mosque serving the Muslim community of Wrexham and the wider North Wales region.

Beyond hosting the five daily prayers and Friday (Jummah) congregational prayers, the centre functions as a hub for education and cultural activity, including Qur'an classes. The association has also engaged the wider community on heritage: in 2018, with support from then-local MP Ian Lucas, plans were developed with the North Wales Miners Association Trust to create a display in the building's foyer commemorating its history as a miners' institute.
