About Watford Central Mosque
Watford Central Mosque is the principal mosque serving Watford's Muslim community, established in 1978. Located near Watford town centre, the mosque serves a growing and diverse Muslim population in Watford and the surrounding Hertfordshire area.
Watford's Muslim community includes South Asian families, converts and newer arrivals from across the Muslim world, many drawn to the area by its excellent transport links to London. The mosque provides daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, Eid congregations and taraweeh throughout Ramadan.
The mosque runs a madrasah and Islamic education programme and is active in interfaith dialogue and community engagement across Watford and Hertfordshire.
