إِذَا زُلْزِلَتِ الْأَرْضُ زِلْزَالَهَا
Idha zulzilati l-ardu zilzalaha

Surah al-Zalzalah describes the final earthquake on the Day of Judgement, when the Earth will convulse and disclose its secrets, and every person will see the result of even an atom's weight of good or evil. It contains one of the most concise statements of divine justice in the Quran.

Verses (8)

وَأَخْرَجَتِ الْأَرْضُ أَثْقَالَهَا
Wa akhrajati l-ardu athqalaha
And the earth discharges its burdens
3
وَقَالَ الْإِنسَانُ مَا لَهَا
Wa qala l-insanu ma laha
And man asks, 'What is wrong with it?' —
4
يَوْمَئِذٍ تُحَدِّثُ أَخْبَارَهَا
Yawma'idhin tuhaddithu akhbaraha
That Day, it will report its news
5
بِأَنَّ رَبَّكَ أَوْحَىٰ لَهَا
Bi-anna rabbaka awha laha
Because your Lord will have commanded it.
6
يَوْمَئِذٍ يَصْدُرُ النَّاسُ أَشْتَاتًا لِّيُرَوْا أَعْمَالَهُمْ
Yawma'idhin yasduru n-nasu ashtatan liyuraw a'malahum
That Day, the people will depart separated [into categories] to be shown [the result of] their deeds.
7
فَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ خَيْرًا يَرَهُ
Faman ya'mal mithqala dharratin khayran yarah
So whoever does an atom's weight of good will see it,
8
وَمَن يَعْمَلْ مِثْقَالَ ذَرَّةٍ شَرًّا يَرَهُ
Wa man ya'mal mithqala dharratin sharran yarah
And whoever does an atom's weight of evil will see it.
