وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ

وَيْلٌ لِّكُلِّ هُمَزَةٍ لُّمَزَةٍ
Waylun li-kulli humazatin lumazah
Woe to every slanderer and backbiter
الَّذِي جَمَعَ مَالًا وَعَدَّدَهُ
Alladhi jama'a malan wa 'addadah
Who collects wealth and [continuously] counts it.
يَحْسَبُ أَنَّ مَالَهُ أَخْلَدَهُ
Yahsabu anna malahu akhladah
He thinks that his wealth will make him immortal.
كَلَّا ۖ لَيُنبَذَنَّ فِي الْحُطَمَةِ
Kalla layunbadhanna fi l-hutamah
No! He will surely be thrown into al-Hutamah.
وَمَا أَدْرَاكَ مَا الْحُطَمَةُ
Wa ma adraka ma l-hutamah
And what can make you know what al-Hutamah is?
نَارُ اللَّهِ الْمُوقَدَةُ
Naru Llahi l-muqadah
It is the fire of Allah, [eternally] kindled,
الَّتِي تَطَّلِعُ عَلَى الْأَفْئِدَةِ
Allati tattali'u 'ala l-af'idah
Which mounts directed at the hearts.
إِنَّهَا عَلَيْهِم مُّؤْصَدَةٌ
Innaha 'alayhim mu'sadah
Indeed, it [fire] will be closed down upon them
فِي عَمَدٍ مُّمَدَّدَةٍ
Fi 'amadin mumaddadah
