About Stevenage Mosque
The Stevenage Muslim Community Centre (SMCC) is a registered charity formed in 1990 to serve the growing Muslim population of Stevenage and surrounding areas. The community came together to build the centre, and the purpose-built mosque opened in 2002 — the first and, to date, only purpose-built masjid in North Hertfordshire. It serves as the town's main mosque, providing the five daily prayers, Jummah, Taraweeh and Eid prayers, funeral and marriage services, and Islamic education including Qur'an and Arabic classes for children.
