About St Albans Islamic Centre
The Islamic Centre St Albans was established in 1978 on Hatfield Road as the first dedicated place of Muslim worship in St Albans, with the purchase funded by donations from the local Muslim community. The property has been extended three times through additional acquisitions and building works to meet the growing needs of the congregation. It is a registered charity (no. 275546) and today accommodates up to 700 worshippers in a single congregation, including a dedicated hall for women. It serves the wider St Albans Muslim community across different schools of thought.
