About Slough Islamic Centre
Slough Islamic Centre is the principal mosque serving Slough's large Muslim community, which is one of the most significant outside London in the South East of England. Founded in 1978, the centre has grown to become one of the largest mosques in Berkshire and the Thames Valley.
Slough's Muslim community has its roots primarily in Pakistani communities who came to work in Slough's industrial estate and trading area from the 1960s onwards. The mosque provides the five daily prayers, multiple Friday Jumu'ah sessions, large Eid congregations and taraweeh throughout Ramadan.
Slough Islamic Centre also runs an Islamic school, madrasah, youth programmes and community welfare services supporting Muslim families across Slough, Windsor and the wider Berkshire area.
