Scunthorpe Central Mosque, also known as Madani Masjid, was established in 1981, originally founded as the Esha-tul Quran Islamia Madrassah (EQIM) and Madani Mosque in a converted terraced house on Percival Street. It was extended in 1987 and 2001 and underwent a major refurbishment in 2011, growing into the largest Muslim community centre in North Lincolnshire. The mosque serves the community with five daily prayers, weekly Jummah and Eid prayers, a madrassah for Islamic education, and Nikah (marriage) and Janazah (funeral) services.
