About Perth Mosque
Perth Masjid, run by the Perth Islamic Society, has served the Muslim community of Perth since 1997 and is the principal mosque in the city, located in the centre of Perth within walking distance of the bus and train stations. The Perth Islamic Society was registered as a Scottish charity (OSCR no. SC026814) on 23 June 1997, with the stated objects of conducting public worship according to the tenets of Islam in accordance with the Sunni tradition, providing religious education, and relieving poverty within the local Muslim community. The mosque includes a separate prayer section for women, and its doors open 10-15 minutes before each prayer time.
