About Ihsan Mosque (Norwich)

Ihsan Mosque (Norwich Islamic Centre) on Bull Close Road is the principal mosque serving Norwich and the wider Norfolk Muslim community, established in 1980. Norwich has a vibrant Muslim community including students from the University of East Anglia, established South Asian families and newcomers from across the Muslim world.

The mosque provides the five daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha congregations, and taraweeh throughout Ramadan. Its setting in the east of England, where Muslim communities are generally smaller and more dispersed than in the Midlands and North, gives it an important role in supporting Muslims across a wide area including Norfolk and Suffolk.
