About Islamic Centre Aberdare
The Islamic Centre Aberdare serves the Muslim community of Aberdare and the wider Cynon Valley in Rhondda Cynon Taf, Wales. It was established as a registered charity (no. 1088551) on 24 September 2001, with charitable objects covering the advancement of Islam and education, the teaching of Urdu and Arabic, and the provision of Muslim funeral services. Its governing document follows the Ahl-e-Sunnat wal Jamaat tradition as interpreted by Imam Ahmad (Raza) Qadri, placing it within the Sunni Barelwi school. The centre operates from a converted building on Phillip Street in the Robertstown area, offering daily congregational prayers and a separate prayer space for women.
