About Luton Central Mosque
Luton Central Mosque in the Bury Park area of Luton is the principal mosque for Luton's large Muslim community, which is one of the largest Muslim populations relative to town size in the UK. Founded in 1967, it has grown to serve tens of thousands of Muslims from across Luton.
The mosque provides the five daily prayers, multiple Friday Jumu'ah sessions, large Eid congregations and taraweeh throughout Ramadan. Bury Park, where the mosque is situated, is the heart of Luton's Muslim community with a vibrant high street of halal shops, restaurants and Islamic institutions.
Luton Central Mosque also runs a madrasah, provides Islamic education for children and families, and is involved in community welfare and interfaith engagement across the town.
