About Isha Prayer

Isha is the fifth and final daily prayer, prayed at night after the twilight has fully disappeared. It consists of 4 obligatory rakaat. The Prophet ﷺ recommended not delaying Isha unnecessarily. After Isha, the Witr prayer (3 rakaat) is also highly recommended before sleeping.

The Prophet ﷺ said: "Whoever prays Isha in congregation, it is as if he prayed half the night. Whoever prays both Fajr and Isha in congregation, it is as if he prayed the whole night." (Muslim).
