About Hemel Hempstead Mosque
Quwwatul Islam Hemel Hempstead is the main mosque serving the town's Muslim community and is a registered charity (no. 281675), whose founding constitution was adopted in 1980. Located at 150 St Albans Hill in the Bennetts End area, it follows the Sunni Barelwi tradition and is also known as the Markazi Jamia Mosque Mehria Ghousia. Alongside the five daily prayers, Jummah and Eid congregations, it runs a religious school offering Quran memorisation classes for boys and girls, and provides Nikah, Janazah and Shahada services for the community.
