About Jamia Mosque (Islamic Society of Darlington)
The mosque is run by the Islamic Society of Darlington, a registered charity (no. 513731) whose constitution was adopted on 25 April 1982 and amended on 31 January 1983. Its objects are to advance Islam in Darlington by providing a mosque and an Islamic community centre offering education for all ages.
The charity register says the mosque holds the five daily prayers, runs Islamic teaching for young students and occasional community meetings, and hosts visits from school and college students learning about Islam.
