About Blackpool Central Mosque

The mosque is run by the Islamic Community Centre and Mosque, Blackpool, a charity registered on 31 May 1990 (charity no. 702932) that originally operated from a building on Rigby Road. It relocated to a purpose-built Indo-Saracenic-style building at 2 Revoe Street, which opened to the public in early 2005. The building houses a main prayer hall with a 500-person capacity, a separate ladies' prayer room and seven classrooms, and won a heritage award from Blackpool Civic Trust in January 2005. It serves as Blackpool's principal mosque and Islamic community centre, running daily prayers, Jummah, Islamic education and community events.
