About Belfast Islamic Centre
Belfast Islamic Centre (BIC), situated in the Wellington Park area near Queen's University Belfast, has served as the principal mosque and Islamic cultural hub for Northern Ireland's Muslim community since 1978.
The centre occupies a converted Victorian townhouse close to Queen's University and has been a spiritual home for students, professionals and families from across the Muslim world who have made Belfast their home. The BIC runs the five daily prayers, Friday Jumu'ah, Eid al-Fitr and Eid al-Adha congregations, and taraweeh throughout Ramadan.
Beyond worship, Belfast Islamic Centre is active in interfaith dialogue, civic engagement and education, playing a key role in building bridges between the Muslim community and wider Northern Irish society.
