Raza Jamia Masjid & Islamic Centre Prayer Times

Raza Jamia Masjid traces its origins to 1969, when the first mosque in Accrington was established on Blackburn Road. The current, purpose-built facility was constructed between July 2015 and December 2017 at a cost of approximately £8.5 million and opened on 15 December 2017. At around 42,000 square feet it is the principal and largest mosque serving Accrington. It is named after Imam Ahmed Raza Khan, the early-20th-century scholar associated with the Barelvi tradition. Alongside daily prayers it runs a community centre aimed at promoting peace and community cohesion, and the building is open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. It is funded purely by public donations and registered as a Charitable Incorporated Organisation (Charity Commission no. 1171018).
