## About Finsbury Park Mosque

Finsbury Park Mosque, also known as the North London Central Mosque, was opened in 1994 to serve the rapidly growing Muslim community in north London. The mosque is housed in a striking five-storey red-brick and cream building close to Finsbury Park station and Arsenal's Emirates Stadium.

After a difficult period in the early 2000s, the mosque was reopened in 2005 under new trustees and management, and has since become widely respected for its inclusive, community-first approach. It has won regional and national awards for its work, including a Visible Quality Mark for outstanding community engagement.

The mosque hosts daily prayers, Jumu'ah, hifz and weekend classes for hundreds of children, English and Arabic language courses, food banks, youth mentoring, women's groups and a long-running open-doors programme that welcomes neighbours, schools and visitors of all backgrounds.
