In the mid-1970s it acquired land at 48 Cornwall Road to build a purpose-built mosque. The main prayer hall was built in the late 1970s and early 1980s, and the mosque dates its opening to 1979. A second floor was added later for prayers and children's classes, and the dome and minaret were completed after that. An annex extension was under construction in September 2026.
